25th July 2010 - We had the most wonderful weekend at the end of July. Not only was it Port Eliot Festival - always great fun, but we also had lots of their incredible performers and artists staying at the castle. Among them Grayson and Philippa Perry and the amazing Alan Measles on his Popemobile (aka pink motorbike) see the gallery for a proper picture, Marina Hyde, Diana Athill, Helen Simpson and Justine Picardie all stayed too - the conversations over breakfast were rather more cerebral than usual!

25th July 2010 - Our first outdoor theatre event went dreamily (excuse the rather desperate pun)! It doesn't get more perfect than a balmy summer's evening, a great production of Midsummer Night's Dream by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company, the backdrop of the River Tamar and a full moon.  Now we have to start the sun dances in earnest to make sure we are as lucky next year...
