Clay Pigeon Shooting

If a day's shooting in the glorious surroundings of the Pentillie Estate appeals, yet you cannot find the time to get away during the pheasant season (October to 1st Feb), or you want practice at shooting clays in a more realistic environment, then we are delighted to announce that we are now able to offer simulated clay pigeon shooting days in conjunction with the Royal Berkshire Shooting School.

These days are arranged so as to simulate a normal day's pheasant shooting with five or six drives in different parts of the estate. They will provide an ideal opportunity for friends to get together out of the shooting season or to entertain clients for exciting shooting in a beautiful environment.

The days are run like a Winter game shoot with coffee and bacon butties on arrival in the castle, followed by a full briefing and the choosing of 'peg numbers'. Drives 1, 2 and 3 take place before a snack break on the quay, or in the bating hut if the weather turns slightly dull. Drives 4, 5 and 6 include a competition before returning to the castle for a late lunch, and prize giving.

Official dates tend to be in June each year, however, if you would like to organise a corporate day, or fancy clay pigeon shooting while staying in the castle for the weekend then do get in touch.

Please contact Ted via email or call him on 01579 350 044 for further information.
