With this year’s summer weddings well underway, we are reminded of Mike and Chris’ fantastic wedding last August. This was a particularly special day for us as it was the first civil partnership wedding that Pentillie had hosted.
Mike and Chris wanted an intimate wedding with their nearest and dearest, decorated with vibrant colours, extra fun, and loved ones present. From their ceremony to the reception, the attention to detail was paramount. The couple decided on bright orange and pink as their colour scheme, matching everything from their outfits, to the flowers and favours – the castle has never seen so much pink!
Despite the heavens opening throughout the wedding, the rain didn’t put a dampener on the mood of the day! Mike and Chris walked down for their ceremony through the beautiful gardens, hand in hand. They arrived at the Bathing Hut, which was decorated with an extravagant display of flower balls by the award winning Amanda Randell.
After their intimate ceremony the couple walked back to the Castle with their guests for a drinks and canapés reception in our elegant reception rooms. The Dining Room was set for their wedding breakfast and boasted an array of colours, from the striking goldfish bowls and floral arrangements to ‘sweetie tree’ centerpieces. We were amazed by the fabulous and well thought about décor.
Their wedding breakfast menu consisted of homemade individual steak or chicken pies with a fabulous array of side dishes made by The Outside Inn Cuisine. Evening guests were treated to a selection of childhood favourite sweets from a beautifully presented sweetie table. The night ended with dancing and drinks in the Dining Room…. a truly magical evening for Mike and Chris with their nearest and dearest.
