Marriages, Partnerships & Celebratory Ceremonies

With a selection of licensed indoor & outdoor spaces on the estate, you’ll be spoilt for choice for where to say your vows!

Pentillie is an incredibly welcoming venue – while a ‘castle’ it is often described as a breathtaking yet very homely space. As such we welcome anyone to use the Castle as the backdrop for their wedding day and ceremony – traditional, same-sex, hand fasting, or pagan. We are thrilled to be able to facilitate and be part of such a happy and special occasion.

Civil marriages and partnerships can be conducted in any of our licensed spaces – see images (apart from the stone circle) below. However, hand-fasting and non-legally binding ceremonies and blessings can be conducted anywhere that takes your fancy (provided our cows are not in the same field!).

For civil ceremonies (both same-sex and heterosexual), talk to Cornwall Council who can advise you on the formal procedures required. They can also accommodate celebratory ceremonies.

For a religious ceremony, you will need to contact the relevant religious leader. For Church of England ceremonies in one of the beautiful local parish churches, please contact Reverend Chris Painter via email or telephone 01822 834 170.

All ceremony charges will need to be paid to the relevant organisation directly.
