Garden open days at Pentillie

Pentillie’s extensive gardens are generally open to the public on specific days during Spring when the woodland gardens are at their most fabulous and full of camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas and bulbs. The gardens will be open for Spring 2016 on the following dates: Easter Monday 28th March, Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May and Sunday 22nd May 2016.

The open days cost £6 per person (children 12 & under free) no booking required. Refreshments and plants are available to purchase in and near the castle.

Dogs are welcome on short leads but  please clean up after them and use the bins provided. Paths can be slippery and muddy, please wear suitable sturdy footwear.

You are welcome to explore all 55 acres of gardens, most especially the restored Mausoleum (and learn about the exciting discovery of Sir James Tillie’s hidden vault!). Visit the restored kitchen gardens with revamped greenhouses and walls. Not to mention many of the overgrown woodlands and paths have been cleared so you can explore more of Pentillie.
