After Cliveden Conservation’s fantastic restoration work on Sir James Tillie’s Statue earlier this year, we thought they deserved to be nominated into this year’s English Heritage Angel Awards.
The project was selected as a finalist in the ‘Best Craftsmanship Employed in a Heritage Rescue’ category. The prestigious awards ceremony will take place today in London.
Co-funded by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, the awards celebrate the efforts of individuals and local groups all over the country who put hours of effort, enthusiasm and endurance into saving derelict and severely damaged historic landmarks from being lost forever.
Wish us luck, and take a look at our video on the restoration here in the meantime!
