After finding out in June that they had won their dream wedding at Pentillie Castle the day finally arrived for the loved up couple!
Hayley and her closest girlfriends enjoyed Friday evening at Pentillie. I think there was lots of Prosecco and girlie giggles followed by a delicious Pentillie home-cooked supper!
Hayley was surprisingly calm the morning of her wedding, she came down for breakfast in her dressing gown and a big smile on her face. The morning was buzzing with suppliers arriving and setting up. We had a ferris wheel full of sweets, chic navy and lace chair covers and sashes bringing the Dining Room to life, amazing chandelier centerpieces, a flashing ‘Mr and Mrs’ fish tank and lots of other personal touches to make the day complete.
Lee arrived with his best man in a cream vintage car, again he was also very calm. The moment Hayley walked down the winding staircase with her proud dad waiting at the bottom, was very emotional. She looked beautiful in her lace dress, gorgeous hair piece and veil. I think we all shed a little tear!
Hayley made her way down to the Bathing Hut to marry the man of her dreams. An intimate ceremony of 50 of their nearest and dearest were present to hear them say ‘I Do’. The sun was shining and lit up the magical Bathing Hut.
The guests then made their way back to the Castle where they had a choice of Pimms or Prosecco and an ice cream tricycle for their drinks reception. After a catch up with friends and family with plenty of beautiful photographs, they all sat down to a delicious 3 course meal prepared by The Outside Inn – Leek and Potato Soup with a Nutmeg Cream, Chicken Breast with Red Onion and a Selection of Vegetables followed by a choice of Chocolate Fudge Cake or Steamed Ginger Pudding.
The evening reception got into full swing when the DJ started playing some of the couples favourite tunes including their first dance ‘Crazy for you’.
As a newlywed couple, Hayley and Lee then stayed in our luxury bridal suite with views reaching over Dartmoor and the River Tamar. The full English breakfast the following morning helped to line their stomachs before they drove away to their cosy cottage for a minimoon before Cancun next year.
We were so pleased that we could help Hayley and Lee to have their dream day. Choosing between 100 couples who entered was hard, and we were delighted that we were able to offer Hayley and Lee part of the £20,000 prize.
