Over 200 flock to our fabulous Wedding Fair!

Wow, what an amazing day was had by all last Sunday. In conjunction with Blue Fizz Events, we organised our own Wedding Fair – The Elegant Bride. We were delighted to welcome over 200 blushing brides and grooms, the weather couldn’t have been better and the exhibitors were on fantastic form – we look forward to seeing everyone here again soon.

The Castle and gardens were abuzz with brides and bridesmaids comparing notes, the Pentillie team giving tours of the Castle, Charles Steevenson Wines charming everyone with delicious bubbles on arrival, not to mention the wine tastings, Buns in the Oven’s very moreish cupcakes and Phillip Taylor-Corps’ glorious flowers – both in vases and on his jacket! With bridal boutiques, pop-up hair and beauty salons taking over our elegant bedrooms, they made upstairs ANOTHER place to be.

Meanwhile, in the stylish marquee on the Loggia supplied by Hatch Marquees, there was a selection of excellent music setting the scene, performed by Sophie Marie King and Swingology. Other suppliers included Janine Hall Photography (who took a booking before the show even opened), and Drake’s Jewellers sparkled with fabulous rings and bridal jewellery. The grooms were easy to find as they were either at our bar, exploring our ‘man cave’ aka games room or playing Casino Select’s American Roulette.

Blue Fizz Events had erected a traditional canvas marquee on our old tennis lawn complete with bunting and fluttering banner flags. Charlotte Atkinson was next to the entrance busy painting the Castle from her view (she’d been painting since 8am!). Elsewhere The Swing Kings and Matt Stockman with his Photobooth were creating a fun vibe (even our Pentillie team had a silly photo!), while Meadowsweet Vintage and English Rose Stationery added a more genteel touch. Not forgetting Amanda Randell’s enchanting moss covered bench!

Thanks to all of the couples and exhibitors for making our Wedding Fair a great success! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did. Crazy as it sounds, we are now starting to think about our next Wedding Fair. Watch this space!

  1. What a wonderful day both in terms of the weather the venue and the selection of exhibitors, lets not forget the brides.

The team at Pentillie could not do enough for us and I am really looking forward to shooting another wedding there ( I believe in August 2015 ) according to my most recent enquiry as a result of the fair.

If you missed my exhibition film, you can see it and more on my website http://www.arohafilms.com

Looking forward to filming on the estate once more, it’s classy and beautiful.
