2014 Simulated Game Days: Join us on Mon 23rd, Tues 24th June.
Do you miss your shooting over the summer months? Are you looking for an opportunity to entertain clients and friends? Why not join us for one of our Simulated Game days at Pentillie?
Making best use of the steep valleys of the estate, we simulate a fine day’s pheasant shooting with five picturesque drives in different parts of the estate. Sixteen guns share eight pegs on each drive, one gun loads (and offers ‘encouragement’) while the other shoots. Roles are reversed mid-drive. We guarantee no shortage of ‘birds’, with at least 6,000 clay pigeons flying over the guns throughout the day!
Manual traps are used to ensure variety and quality of birds throughout, with exciting flushes and demanding individual high birds. These days are an ideal opportunity for friends to get together out of the shooting season or to entertain clients for an exhilarating day in a beautiful setting. We normally shoot through, pausing for a snack at noon, and have lunch in the Castle at approximately 3pm after finishing the shoot.
If you think clay pigeon shooting, is not for you, please look at the video before you dismiss it out of hand.
We normally organise Simulated Game Days during May, June and early July before the pheasants arrive, but can arrange them anytime outside the shooting season. If you would like to organise a corporate day, or a jaunt for a group of friends to celebrate a birthday perhaps, please contact Ted on 01579 350044.
Accommodation is available at Pentillie or other local hotels. Formal dinners can also be arranged.
