Celebrate the King's Coronation at Pentillie next weekend.


Garden Open Day

Sunday 7th May 2023, 11am until 4pm

Bring a picnic or book a traditional Afternoon Tea, spend time exploring the grounds and toast a glass to His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen. 

There will be croquet and lawn games, an outside bar, Zinn's Coffee & Cake, Cornish Cream Teas (or high tea in the Castle - booking essential) and lots of good cheer! Seating will be available on the garden terraces or on the lawns for picnics, and don't worry, there will be a marquee for cover should the sunshine not appear 

Entry is available both in advance and on the day, priced at £7.50 per person. Under 12's, Friends of Pentillie members and dogs go free!

Waiting for the King

The three standing stones we call 'Waiting for the King' represent our Pentillie ancestors who were waiting to see the first glimpse of King Edward VII's arrival as he sailed up the River Tamar by steamboat when visiting Pentillie back in April 1902.
