Summer Solstice Sunrise at Pentillie’s Stone Circle

Celebrate the first light of summer from Pentillie’s highest point, with breathtaking views across the Tamar Valley

Sunday 21st June 2026 | From 5am | Free to attend

Welcome the longest day of the year with a peaceful summer solstice sunrise, set above the Tamar Valley at Pentillie’s Stone Circle ~ one of Cornwall’s most stunning sunrise spots. From this viewpoint, take in panoramic views stretching across Dartmoor and out towards Plymouth Sound.

Join us for a relaxed early morning gathering as the solstice sun rises over the hills (usually around 5:15am). Whether you’re a nature lover, an early riser, or simply looking for a quiet, meaningful way to mark the start of summer, this sunrise experience offers a moment to pause and reconnect.

Updates on refreshments will be shared closer to the event. You’re very welcome to bring a flask of tea or coffee.
