Grand in name yet incredibly intimate by nature, Pentillie Castle offers a spectacular setting for a romantic elopement, an intimate wedding for up to 22 or a larger gathering of up to 60 (with 60 additional evening guests). For greater celebrations, we offer a number of inspirational spaces for a marquee.

Choose to marry by the river in our Victorian Bathing Hut, under the beautiful Wisteria-clad Pavilion, at the Castle Loggia with far-reaching views, or in one of our picturesque garden settings, all licensed year-round.

Pentillie is a venue for all couples who want to celebrate their love and make that big commitment to one another. We welcome couples of all religions, race, sexual orientation, or cultural traditions.

Celebrate

The Castle’s elegant Dining Room is perfect for an intimate reception of up to 60 day guests and 60 additional evening guests. For larger parties of up to 200 guests, the East Terrace and Old Tennis Lawn both provide inspirational spaces for a marquee celebration.

Pentillie works closely with a selection of outstanding local caterers who are inspired by the abundance and quality of West Country produce and the changing seasons. They take great pride in serving delicious and beautifully presented food.

Time to Party

Now here is where you can really let your personalities shine. From a traditional fine dining reception to a family shin-dig, archery on the Old Tennis Lawn to toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, dancing barefoot to a silent disco or in stilettos to a live band, the choice is yours.

Tariff

All castle bookings give you exclusive use of the castle and immediate gardens for a minimum of 2 nights. Please see individual tariffs for details.

Castle wedding for up to 60 people: from £8,665.

Intimate wedding for up to 22 people: from £7,025.

Marquee weddings for up to 120 people: from £27,150.

Elopements for just the two of you: from £3,750.

Ceremony only*: from £1,650.

Prices based on 2024/25 tariff. Food and drink will be charged additionally. Discounts are available for NHS workers and military personnel. Large marquee weddings can be quoted for on a bespoke basis. *Ceremony only weddings do not have exclusive use of the castle or gardens.

Exclusively Yours

Pentillie and it’s 11 bedrooms will be exclusively yours from your arrival until your departure as newlyweds. With some of the ‘wow-iest’ views in Cornwall, comfy Vispring beds and numerous reception rooms (visit our ‘Room Gallery’), you really can share the most amazing time of your life with your family and friends.

Your guests will feel thoroughly spoilt yet completely at home with full use of the farmhouse kitchen, games room and outdoor solar-heated pool.
