This characterful stone cottage dates back to 1854 and sits just steps from the River Tamar, making it an ideal base from which to explore the best of the South West.

Recognisable to Beyond Paradise fans as the riverside home of Anne (Barbara Flynn), Martha (Sally Bretton), and Humphrey (Kris Marshall), this idyllic retreat is available for short and long stays from Easter 2026. Sleeping 4 in two spacious bedrooms, it is perfect for couples, friends or small families seeking a private escape in the unspoilt Cornwall countryside.

Inside, the cottage balances historic character with modern comfort. A light-filled, fully equipped country kitchen leads into relaxed living and dining spaces, with large bay windows. Upstairs, two spacious double bedrooms, both with the option to twin on request, also overlook the river. Two small children could also be accommodated in cots or pop-up beds. Two well-behaved dogs are also welcome for £30 per dog per stay.

Outside, the two small enclosed gardens offer cinematic views of the river and the charming Bathing Hut inviting you to enjoy sunrise coffee while enjoying nature’s display on your doorstep. Guests can also explore Pentillie’s stunning 55 acres of Repton-designed woodland gardens, including Chauffeurs Walk, Lime Avenue, and Wisteria Walk. And it doesn’t stop there, Cornwall’s breathtaking beaches, coastal paths, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, and nearby National Trust properties are all within easy reach beyond the estate.
